DOI: 10.1177/103841119102900110 Psychological Testing in Australia in the 1990'sQueensland University of Technology The use of psychological tests in recruitment and selection in Australian companies seems destined to increase markedly in the 1990's. Already there have been strong signs of change in Australia and the increase in the number of test distribution agencies and of management consultancies giving special attention to psychological tests and procedures attests to this. This article outlines some of the changes contributing to increased test use particularly in the UK and briefly reviews the technical and commercial changes likely to lead to increased test use in the Australian scene. Related issues are raised including the adequacy of training offered in Australia and the need for an Australian Test Development and Research Centre.
