Voting in a Union Certification Election: an Empirical Test of Brief and Rude's Model

This article reports a test ofbrief and Rude's (1981) model of union voting behaviour in a public university collective bargaining elec tion. Related literature is reviewed, the model is operationalized, findings are reported, and further research is suggested. Little support was found for the Brief and Rude model.
