Sex Composition of Committees

Research Findings

As the use of Committees is such a fundamental part of work in large-scale organisations their composition is of interest to all organisation members who will participate in them as well as those who will create them. This paper offers the view that committees should not be set up with a minority of one woman or one man as a member. That this is bad management practice can be shown from the following research findings in psychology and sociology.
